The Rocket Software MultiValue team is inviting all Rocket UniVerse customers, with an active maintenance agreement, to participate in our UniVerse 14.2.1 beta program. This is your chance to evaluate, shape and share your thoughts on UniVerse 14.2.1.
In this new UniVerse 14.2.1 release you will experience the following features:
- Shared Structure Recovery Framework for the Recoverable File System (RFS) ON mode
- Index Awareness
- BASIC extensions
- Protected File Configuration
- File Level Command Recovery
- Partial Write Recovery
- An upgraded version of Python to v3.13
- OpenSSL FIPS mode
- Beta version of U2 DBTools 4.6.1
14.2.1 Beta essential information:
- Beta kickoff: January 22nd, 2025
- Registration deadline: January15th, 2025
- Duration: 12 weeks
- Beta wrap up: April 16, 2025
- Supported platforms: AIX, Linux, and Windows only
- Meetings: We’ll hold weekly beta meetings or office hours. Meetings may include enhancement highpoints, demos, and open discussions with development and support (we’ll cover most time zones)
- Rocket Forum: All participants need a Rocket Forum account so that they can collaborate with other beta participants and Rocket engineers. Additionally, we’ll provide all beta announcements, beta software download links, and meeting recording links via the forum
- Rocket Community Portal (RCP): All participants require access to the Rocket Community Port to download beta install packages and documentation
